Armadillo is an armadillo who is seen in the film Franklin and the Green Knight. She has a baby brother, Baby Armadillo. She meets Franklin and Snail during the quest to bring spring to Woodland.
Plot[]
During their quest, Franklin and Snail arrive at the object of their search: a magnificent tree blooming with cherry blossoms, despite the rest of the area still being covered in winter snow. They are confronted by Mrs. Warbler, a protective mother bird, but strike a deal with her to protect her eggs while she hunts for food. Franklin and Snail then get into an argument about Franklin's motivations for the quest, Snail feeling that Franklin is being selfish. As Franklin pulls out a glove to keep the eggs warm, Snail turns around, only to see someone racing towards him. He shouts that it's a dragon, referring to the dragon of the The Quest of the Green Knight story that inspired their own adventure. He curls into a ball and the creature does so as well.

Armadillo with Franklin
Hearing Snail's shouts, Franklin descends and pulls out his toy paper sword, threatening the creature, who starts to sob. Just then, a larger version of the same animal arrives, shouting at Franklin to leave her baby brother alone. She asks her brother if he's okay and he nods. She tells Franklin to apologize for scaring him, but Franklin tells her that he scared his friend. They get into a brief argument and Armadillo ends up tearing Franklin's toy sword to bits. They finally calm down, Franklin telling her that they thought her brother was a dragon. She introduces herself as Armadillo, scolding her baby brother for running off to look for ants. He whines that he was hungry and Franklin gives him a cookie, telling her that it has flies in it. Armadillo has him thank Franklin and then he gives Snail a piggyback ride.
While the two play, Franklin and Armadillo sit together. He comments that she likes taking care of her baby brother and she agrees that she does. He tells her that he's going to be a big brother soon himself, saying that her parents probably spend a lot of time with the baby instead of her. She agrees that this so, saying that babies are helpless and need the attention. She asks if he's worried that his parents won't have time for him when the baby comes. He admits to this being the case and she asks him whether he loves his Mom or his Dad more. He calls the question silly, saying that he loves them both. She tells him that it's the same with her and her baby brother, that her parents love them both the same, that it's nothing to worry about. Franklin seems reassured and she tells him and Snail that they have to get going, that their mother will be looking for them. She wishes them good luck and they leave.
