Beatrice Bear is Bear's little sister and was introduced in the first season. Beatrice has been portrayed by Julie Lemieux, Kristen Bone and Susan Roman in the original series and Nissae Isen in Franklin and Friends. She is sometimes known by the nickname Bea. She is 4 years old, making her one year older than Kit Beaver and Harriet Turtle.[1]
Plot[]
Beatrice and Franklin's little sister Harriet are best friends and frequent playmates. Harriet is extremely disappointed in Back to School with Franklin when Beatrice starts school and she is no longer able to play with her during the day (at least on school days), until she meets Kit.
Beatrice is known to sing in her sleep, disturbing Bear and causing daytime sleepiness when she has to sleep in his room due to her own room being painted.
Bear was somewhat upset when Beatrice was first born, as his parents paid a lot of attention to her. He protested that they had forgotten all about him, but they assured him that they still loved him and the baby would soon be crying to see her big brother. He soon learned to interpret her cries, such as realizing that she wanted to play and waving a rattle.

Trivia[]
- Despite Beatrice being born in the first season and Harriet not being born until the film Franklin and the Green Knight after the fourth season, the two are depicted in both the fifth and sixth seasons as being only a year apart in age.
- This is also despite their respective older brothers seemingly not aging at all.
- In the spinoff Franklin and Friends, she and Harriet are apparently the same age.
