Cole Caplan in 1999
Cole Caplan (born May 17, 1990) is a Canadian actor who voiced Squirrel in the story "Big Brother Franklin," and later assumed the role of Franklin Turtle for the sixth season of Franklin as well as the special Back to School with Franklin.

- Outside of the show, he uses the same voice tone as Squirrel for the voice of Olie Polie in William Joyce's Rolie Polie Olie and the same voice tone as Franklin for the voice of Tater Spudinski in Jojo's Circus.
- Although he assumed the role of Franklin for the film Back to School with Franklin and the sixth season of the series, he actually started voicing Franklin for the toys related to this show by Tiger Electronics in 2000.
- He is of Jewish heritage.
