Franklin's Music Lessons is the second story in the sixth episode in the second season of Franklin.
Plot[]
Franklin and his class were entertained by Ms. Panda and her piano. This inspired Franklin and Beaver to take up piano lessons from Franklin's Granny in order to impress Ms. Panda. However, while Beaver has the patience, Franklin's enthusiasm for his piano lessons begins to wane. He didn't realize how practice can really be perfect until he noticed how well Beaver was playing the piano while he was out goofing off.
Songs[]
- "The Beautiful Blue Danube" [Johann Strauss II] (instrumental background music at the beginning of the story)
- "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" by Noah Reid
- "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" (first two lines only) by Luca Perlman and Corinne Conley
Trivia[]
- The songs "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" also appear in the PC game Franklin the Turtle Goes to School, besides both of them being heard in this episode.
- "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" is also heard in Franklin's Magic Christmas, besides this song being heard in this episode.
Goofs[]
- Franklin sits on the right of Ms. Panda during the instrumental piano version of Row, Row, Row Your Boat, but he plays the lower notes, and Ms. Panda (on the left) plays the higher notes. A piano is designed with the lower notes at the left of the keyboard, and vice versa.
- As Franklin plays the "C-G-C-G" pattern on the piano, the G key plays a C note and vice versa.
- Fox is visibly not clapping when Beaver finishes her performance unlike the other students.
- Fox's ears are miscolored orange when he is seen during Franklin's performance.
Differences between the book and the episode[]
- In the book's version, Franklin plays "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". But in the TV episode version, Franklin can play "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" on the piano.
- In the book's version, Franklin's friends play the following musical instruments (while in the TV episode version, they do not play them):
- To look at the instruments that Franklin's friends play, see this page.
- In the book's version, Franklin can play the bell and the piano. But in the TV episode version, Franklin only plays the piano.
