Franklin's School Play is first story in the ninth episode in the first season of Franklin.

Plot[]

Franklin was thrilled to be the lead in the school's production of The Nutcracker. He would rehearse for his parents and spent extra time memorizing all his lines. However, on opening night, Franklin ended up with stage fright.

  • This episode is somehow a reference to Peter Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker.
  • In this episode, the background music from Peter Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker suite is heard, using "Dance of the Mirlitons" (AKA "Dance of the Reed Flutes" or "Dance of the Reeds") (which is most notably heard many times) and "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" (which is heard a few times), through some points of this story, since it refers well to its plot.
