Franklin Goes to School is the first segment of the third episode in the first season of Franklin.
Summary[]
Franklin is excited about the first day of school. However, he has fears about attending the first day of school. Franklin's mom is calling out to him as he wakes up and hurries to catch the school bus before it leaves without him. As his day unfolds, he meets many of his friends, and his teacher, Mr. Owl. He then learns what school is all about and even drew a picture of his family to take home.
Trivia[]
- There is also a book made for Fisher Price's PowerTouch Learning System, released 6 years later in 2003, after the episode's airing.
- This episode is adapted from the 1995 book of the same name.
- On the way to school, Franklin and Bear are sharing food. In real life, it is against bus rules to eat or drink anything on the bus, as that would be littering, and if the bus had to make sudden, hard stops or turns while a passenger was eating, he or she could choke.
Goofs[]
- Mr. Turtle's camera disappears when the bus starts to move.
- Otter appears on the bus. Previously, in "Franklin's Bad Day," it was shown that she moved far away into a big city. Either the animators forgot about that, or this episode chronologically takes place before then.
