Franklin Wiki

Giselle is Goose's cousin on her mother's side. She is the daughter of Goose's aunt and uncle on her mother's side who are married siblings.

Giselle attends the Migration Eve party held at Goose's family home. Like Goose, she has listened to Grandpa Goose's story about his first migration every year and knows he tried to hide under a bush because he was worried he would miss his friends, not realizing they were all migrating too, but his father found him anyway. She is proud of knowing all the words for the Migration Eve poem recited before dinner. She asks Franklin if he knows them, but Goose tells her off for it.

After Goose's mother and goose explain the meanings of the mashed potatoes (representing fluffy clouds) and corn pones (sandy beaches), Giselle asks Franklin what his shoofly pie means. Franklin has trouble, but guesses the first answer that comes to mind: "dessert," much to most of the family's amusement.

Later, Giselle would be taking part in the migration dance, and would go off with her family for the next morning's migration.
