Grandma Jenny Turtle is Franklin and Harriet's grandmother, Mrs. Turtle's mother and Mr. Turtle’s mother-in-law and the wife of Grandfather Turtle. She has lived her entire life at Faraway Farm.
As a child, Jenny discovered a silver bell buried in the snow. When she rang it, it made the most beautiful sound she ever heard in her life and a reindeer appeared behind her. She approached the reindeer and introduced herself, but the reindeer startled when her father called her. To her astonishment, the reindeer did not gallop away, but flew away, something she never told anyone until reciting the story to Franklin and Harriet. She was an only child and expressed regret to the two for not having had a sibling to share the experience with.
The first-ever present she and her husband gave Franklin was his stuffed toy dog, Sam.
Grandma Jenny Turtle appears only in Franklin's Magic Christmas. She is voiced by the late Joyce Gordon as a senior and Kristen Bone (the voice of Snail) as a child.
