Mr. Mole is a recurring character in Franklin and Franklin and Friends. He is voiced by Bill Colgate. He runs the general store in Woodland and went to school with Mr. Turtle, the two being long-time friends.
Biography[]
Mr. Mole is the owner and manager of the general store in Woodland. He is known to be friendly and trusting, and well-respected in the community. He also runs the annual haunted house for the town's children on Halloween. He has a grandson named Mole as well as a nephew and a sister.
Mr. Mole is a skilled gardener and in "Franklin's Garden" takes interest in the various insects visiting Franklin's garden.
Mr. Mole's store is badly damaged in a fire in "Franklin and the Fire." The community of Woodland helps him to clean up and rebuild. Mr. Mole himself is thankfully unharmed, but admits that he wasn't as prepared for a fire as he thought he was and that he's learned a lesson.
Trivia[]
- In the book version of Franklin is Bossy, he is referred to as simply "Mole." Franklin asks Mr. Turtle if the two of them ever fight and he tells him that they do sometimes, but they always make up.
- It was shown in "Franklin's Father" that Mr. Mole was a childhood friend of Mr. Turtle's, and he was more sensible than the latter.
- It is unspecified who voiced Mr. Mole when he was a kid, although it is only a possibility that he had the same voice actor as Bear.
