Mr. Owl is Franklin's teacher and a Great Horned Owl. Mr. Owl is usually only seen teaching Franklin and his friends.

He is voiced by James Rankin in the original series and John Stocker in Franklin and Friends.

He is one of the attendees at the Turtle family baby shower in Franklin and the Green Knight and is seen in the background chatting with Mr. Beaver. Later, when Mr. Turtle mentions the upcoming spring, he comments that his class has been working very hard on the upcoming presentation of The Quest of the Green Knight. Mr. Groundhog then says that the class is coming to the Beaver household first thing in the morning to work on the backdrops. In the film Back to School with Franklin, he is called away for a family emergency and is briefly replaced by Miss Koala at the beginning of a new school year. He returns at the end.

Personality[]

A strict, honest, and direct teacher, Mr. Owl is patient and resolves conflicts peacefully in the classroom. However, he did show he has a playful sense of humor when he made them think he was a ghost at a Halloween party. His sense of humor is also displayed when he draws a caricature of himself while teaching Franklin the number 8 on the first day of school.

He often provides personalized help after-school to students who are having trouble grasping certain concepts. He is quick to assure them that everyone needs a little extra help sometimes.
