Mrs. Goose is Woodland Library's librarian and Goose's mother, though she's generally seen in the library. Her first name is unknown. Mrs. Goose is cheerful and tends to talk in an enthusiastic tone of voice. She has been wearing glasses since she was a little baby much like Franklin's Granny shortly after she hatched from her egg.
It is shown in at least "Franklin Migrates" that she wears eyeglass holders on her glasses; however, in Franklin and Friends, she is shown to wear her glasses without any holders.
Her mother died (perhaps of natural causes) sometime before she married Mr. Goose and only her elderly father which is Grandpa Goose is still alive. Her older brother and sister are married twin siblings and have a daughter named Giselle which is Mrs. Goose’s niece. She and her father, older brother and sister, ex-husband, ex-husband's mother, daughter and niece celebrate Migration together.
