Mrs. Turtle is the wife of Mr. Turtle. She is the mother of Franklin Turtle and his little sister Harriet. She is voiced by Elizabeth Brown.

Plot[]

Very kind and understanding, she loves Franklin very much. She has no known occupation. Her occupation is a housewife. She also is a kite expert and likes flying kites. She is said to always read Franklin two stories before bedtime.

Mrs. Turtle grew up on Faraway Farm, as opposed to Mr. Turtle, who grew up in Woodland. Additionally, unlike Mr. Turtle, who has two younger sisters, she’s an only child. In Franklin and Friends, she sometimes serves as a substitute teacher at Franklin's school, in case Mr. Owl is out sick.

Although firm in her approach to parenting, she believes in giving her children a certain amount of freedom to allow them explore and grow, when it comes to learning things such as skating or biking. She points out to Franklin that while it may have been hard to watch him get hurt sometimes, it was important for her not to be a "mother hen" or he would have never learned.
