Season 5 is the fifth season of the animated series Franklin. Like all other seasons, it consisted of thirteen episodes each featuring two separate eleven minute stories, for a total of 26 stories. It premiered originally in Canada on April 29, 2002 and ended on July 2, 2002. Additionally, the special Back to School with Franklin premiered following the season and ahead of the sixth season on August 19, 2003.
This season is the first season to feature Franklin's little sister Harriet, the character having been introduced in the films Franklin and the Green Knight and Franklin's Magic Christmas following Season 4.
