The Squire is a minor character from Franklin and the Green Knight.
Plot[]
The Squire serves as the squire to the Green Knight, the main character of the story The Quest of the Green Knight. He is his loyal servant and never complains, even though the Green Knight does not always treat him well. When the two encounter a fearsome dragon and discover that its tail is unarmored unlike the rest of its body, the Squire bites its tail to send it running, in place of the Green Knight, as the Green Knight is a frog and frogs do not have teeth.
Appearance[]
He appears to be a warthog, with tufted ears and protruding teeth. He wears a helmet and belt as well as a backpack containing a lance and arrows.
