Woodland is the main setting of the Franklin franchise and the home of Franklin and his friends. It is a small and cozy community with a single downtown shopping area, which includes Mr. Owl's hardware and general store and Mr. Skunk's ice cream shop. It has a fairly large lake which the Beaver family has their home situated on, and which the Turtle family lives in their home nearby. Franklin and his friends attend school in a single-room schoolhouse, taught by Mr. Owl.
In Franklin and Friends, Woodland is also home to the Messy Make-It Shop, created and run by Aunt T.
Woodland is within driving distance of the amusement park Tamarack Point, as well as Faraway Farm, where Franklin's grandparents Grandfather Turtle and Grandma Jenny Turtle live.
